IT Manager at EBO Consult turns 50
During the autumn break, Brian Beyer turned 50 years old Originally, the plan was to celebrate him at the beginning of October, but due to the increasing number of corona infections, the reception at EBO Consult was cancelled and postponed indefinitely. We will, therefore, celebrate him in another way by, among other things, preparing this little tribute to him.
Brian is a qualified electrician and started his career in district heating at the age of 27 when he was employed as an operational assistant in the Hvidovre Midt heating substation. At that time, district heating was far from digitised, and there was a greater need for manual labour. Today, the situation is different, and several heating substations can be monitored and regulated via computer or mobile phone.
After his start as an operating assistant, Brian has specialised in district heating through further training and practical experience. Today, he has been working with district heating for 22 years.
In 2005, Brian joined EBO Consult following the decision by the district heating companies’ boards in Hvidovre to have the company take care of the paperwork and be responsible for the district heating operations. Brian became a key player in the establishment of an EBO Consult that could handle operating tasks for district heating.
Instead of following the operating track, Brian has followed district heating’s digital wave. Today, he is the IT manager who can manage everything from GDPR to setting up websites, servers, SCADA systems, meters, etc. He is currently engaged in a project where several SCADA plants need to be replaced in a larger housing department in Hvidovre. In addition, he is the company’s ‘go-to’ man when there are technical problems, and he always gives a helping hand, which is appreciated by his colleagues and the company’s customers.
All of his colleagues and the company’s customers wish him hearty congratulations on the occasion of his birthday!
